Children’s music entertainer & performer Jodi Koplin captures the essence of childhood through her music which delights audiences of all ages. Her sometimes, humorous, always evocative lyrics reflect the awe and wonder unique to young children. She blends messages of personal growth and having fun with a wide range of musical styles from rock & roll to calypso to boogie & blues. Her debut album, Kangarooster has been adored by Jigglejammer’s near & far. Look for her next CD “Jumpin’ Bean” to be released sometime in this new millennium. Inspiration springs from listening to details of the children’s lives who surround her. Koplin, a Chicago-based children’s entertainer has performed in numerous venues for nearly two decades. She has been a long time faculty member of the renowned Old Town School of Folk Music. In addition to her shows, Jigglejammer Classes are a big hit for those who long to “Jiggle” every week.
Jodi Koplin received her Masters of Social Work degree from Loyola University in Chicago in 1982. She combines this expertise with her experiences as a parent and teacher to create her distinctive style.
